About Us

Excel Design was established in 1992 and is owned and operated by George and Christine Avis, George is the Managing Director and Christine is the Company Secretary.

George is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB) which is the premier organisation for professional construction managers.

George has been been involved in the design and management of construction projects, of all types and sizes, for over 40 years and has wealth of experience. At Excel Design we all undertake Continuous Professional Development to ensure that all construction related matters and developments are kept updated.

Primarily the practice provides an Architectural Design service for a variety of mainly residential projects. Our services range from preliminary designs stage through to town and country planning, building regulations and tendering procedures. We also offer post contract administration to completion.

As each client has different requirements the services we offer can be tailored to suit individual requirements and budgets.

Our professional approach to design and an experienced understanding of procurement methods and standards of workmanship has benefited our clients for many years.

A team spirit with other professionals ensures satisfactory working relationships both within the design team and with contractors.
